LAST WEEK'S MEETING

It was a pleasure getting to know our new District Governor Abbas Rajabi,  shown here with President Cindy Begley, past District Governor Mary Kay Hasz and Abbas' lovely wife, Sami. A huge proponent of continuing the fight against polio, Abbas discussed how proud he is to be a Rotarian.

THIS WEEK'S PROGRAM:

LET'S DO LUNCH - JOHN HOLLY STYLE!

This week, we’ll forgo our usual lunch meeting at Lone Tree and partake in a fabulous meal at our good friends, John Holly’s restaurant.  Be prepared for far more than soup & sandwich, but mouthwatering Asian treats that will tickle your taste buds! There won’t be a program, just the whole lunch hour to visit with your fellow club members.

Located at 9232 Park Meadows Dr., Lone Tree, we'll meet at our usual time, noon.

Restaurant owner John Ye shops the Asian markets on Denver's west side and prepares food at his Lone Tree restaurant John Holly's Asian Bistro.

COAT DRIVE FOR INDIAN CENTER
Attention -- We have a new project! No, it's not a coat drive for New York, but what a great image of the need for coats!

Our club will be participating in the Indian Center Coat Drive.  Gather up you old, gently used coats and bring them to the club meeting on Nov. 9. Nikki Cameron will collect and deliver them to the center.  No need to clean anything, as they will launder them before their distribution event on Nov. 18. If your coats are clean, just drop them in a plastic bag and write 'clean' on the bag.

Natasha Nola & Elizabeth Kringel have a big head start, both have been collecting in their neighborhoods!  So now you know their secret, go out and collect from your friends!

HIDE IN PLAIN SIGHT EVENING OF HOPE
The Fannells, Keytons, Logans & the Keyton's guests hooped & hollered!
The Wilfords, Millers, Selinfreunds & Calderbanks enjoyed the evening as well

One good thing about Rotary - we support so many wonderful nonprofits! With some of those donations, come tickets to the various fundraisers.  The fall is typically 'fundraiser quarter' and the club has complementary tickets galore! So if you're interested in attending any of them, let the Foundation know and they'll add you to the list.  Even better, those tickets are offered during the meeting, so when they say tickets are available, raise your hand.  It'll give you a chance to attend and meet the people involved with these various charitable groups.

The one pictured was for Hide in Plain Sight, who's mission is two-fold: to raise awareness about the at-risk students in the Greater Denver Metro, and to raise money to help support them in their time of need so they have a chance for success.  Hide In Plain Sight partners with the business community, local schools, organizations, churches and residences in the Greater Denver Metro area to ensure that we help our disadvantaged youth. It was started by our club's own Joe Roos.
