in the Tennessee Room. About $7 for Continental Breakfast. Childrens hospital puts on a wonderful spread for us with pastries, scones, a huge fruit platter and 2 kinds of juices!!! We can change the menu if we like and will probably do from time to time. You should come visit us and have a warm scone.

Good for a make up or for our friends and acquaintances that would appreciate a Rotary Club with a morning meeting time.  If you plan to attend, please let Ann Mather at 303-570-9838 (Annmather@aol.com) or Linda Blackstone at 303-992-5625  know the day before.

The CEC Interact Club is looking for 5 to 7 Rotarians to help with a day trip for Inter city kids to Estes Park on Saturday, May 9. They are looking for members who would be interested in mentoring/bonding with these students who have limited exposure to the world outside of their area in Denver.  They have a 50 person bus and the day will start at 7:30 AM and return at 5 PM..  For additional information on this activity contact Lee Mulberry at 303-522-6650.

Walker Stapleton spoke to the club on April 22.  State Treasurer Walker Stapleton's roots run deep in Colorado, his family has been actively involved in Colorado since the early 1900’s. As Colorado State Treasurer, Walker continues this proud family tradition of community leadership.

Until being sworn in as Colorado’s 43rd State Treasurer on January 11, 2011, Treasurer Stapleton served as CEO and CFO of various private and publicly traded companies. His extensive private sector background in finance has uniquely prepared him for the job of State Treasurer.
The Community Service Committee meeting.  Any member interested in community service is encouraged to attend.

The Highlands Ranch Rotary Club Morning Group will be participating in the annual Subaru Elephant Rock Cycling Event in Castle Rock. Sunday, June 7. This event draws up to 6000 cyclists and offers a variety of courses from friendly family routes  to more challenging 100 mile courses.

The Morning Rotary Club acts as "marshals" along the route. In this capacity, the members are posted at various locations and support the riders by ringing cowbells, shouting encouragement and providing directions. 30 to 32 Rotarians are needed to man the support stations (2 Rotarians per station)/ This in an incredibly popular event that supports non-profits like the Interfaith Task Force Community. More information on this ride can be found at www.elephantrockride.com.

If you can help the Rotary Morning Group by helping in this event, please contact their Chairperson, Ann Mather, at Annmather@aol.com or Steve Miller, President of the Highlands Ranch Noon Club. Your support is needed to make this event successful. You will enjoy a beautiful morning in Castle Rock, a fun experience and an opportunity to help our community. Please sign up by Friday, May 15.
