NEW MEMBER FOR THE SUNRISE CLUB
The Sunrise group inducted Kaitlyn (Kate) Todd as a new member last week. Kate has been a resident of Highlands Ranch for 14 years and a Rotarian at the Aurora Fitzsimmons club for the last 2 years. Kate is an Anatomist and uses her training to tutor and mentor high school students. She is finishing up an EKG course with the hope of joining a hospital emergency department or ambulance company in the next few months. Ray Anderson, Earl Hasz and Joel Johnson presented Kate with her Highlands Ranch member badge.
ARAPAHOE PHILHARMONIC SOCIAL, FEB. 17
Join the club at a social to the philharmonic on Friday, Feb. 17 at South Suburban Christian Church on South Broadway between Dry Creek and Ridge Road. It will give you another chance to hear the story behind the music from maestro Devin Hughes, who will also be conducting. Make an evening of it by having dinner with club members before the event. Tickets for the symphony will run $20 per person, a nice discount from the normal senior price of $25. Fred Warnaars will provide more information on the restaurant. So mark your calendar for Feb. 17!
FRIENDSHIP DINNERS, FEB. 18 & MAR. 11
Looking for a way to connect with members outside the meeting? Then sign up for one of the Friendship Dinners! The first is scheduled for February 18. Hosts will be the Gotterns, Bramleys, and Marion Trummer. The second evening will be on March 11 and Arthur Cone & Michelle McRae will host.
Sign up at next week's meeting or contact Debby Doig. She will assign all attendees to the specific hosts. These are great events, a chance to chat up members you may not know very well, share your favorite recipes for your contribution, and toast our upcoming club successes!
RONALD MCDONALD BREAKFAST, FEB. 11
The next Ronald McDonald House breakfast will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11 at the downtown site located at 1300 E. 21st Ave., 80205. Sign up at the next few meetings to take part in this fun event!
