CONDE PALLEN PASSES AWAY
We are sad to report that Conde passed away last Friday. A longtime club member and past president. Neil DeLorenzo brought him in in a few years after we were charted. He was president several years later. Services are tentatively set up for Friday. This will be confirmed.
According to Jim Kelly, club historian, Conde's year as president was a period when outside publicity about Rotary did not exist. The best memories I personally have are from the many beer booths at Western Welcome Weeks he would start yelling "Cold Beer Here!" and with his NY accent you thought you were at Yankee Stadium. With the same accent at meetings where I would pick up a cup of coffee for him, he would always respond "youse is a gent". At one of our Club Assembly meetings in the early 1990s when we were brainstorming about fund raising, he responded "how about hub cap sales?"

Please join the Highlands Ranch Rotary Sunrise Club for our regular meetings. The meetings are the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7:15 to 8:30 am at the south campus of Childrens Hospital at 1811 Plaza Dr. Highlands Ranch. We offer a delicious continental breakfast ($7.00 for members and guests). We also have wonderful speakers you will enjoy. This is a great opportunity for a make up meeting or for potential members that cannot attend noon meetings.
