LAST WEEK'S MEETING

A GREAT TIME AT JOHN HOLLY'S!

Elizabeth gave the inspiration - and it was a good one!
How many courses - 5, at least?

Jan filled in for Cindy.  She brought her own flag and flagman, Fred, for the Pledge!

THIS WEEK'S PROGRAM:

BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING

It's 2017 and, thanks to George Orwell, we know Big Brother is watching.  Find out at this meeting as Scott Toney, assistant professor, Daniels College of Business, tells us exactly who Big Brother is.

OTHER NEWS THAT'S FIT TO PRINT

MOUNTAIN VISTA TRICK OR TREAT STREET
By Karla Olson
Mountain Vista Interact brought smiles to hundreds of children as they took part in the annual Trick or Treat Street held at the school.

Students donated candy, created and displayed decorations for their assigned beach theme, dressed for the theme and distributed candy for the event.
A great time was had by all, young and old!

COAT DRIVE FOR INDIAN CENTER - THIS IS THE WEEK!

Gather up you old, gently used coats and bring them to the club meeting on Nov. 9. Nikki Cameron will collect and deliver them to the center.  No need to clean anything, as they will launder them before their distribution event on Nov. 18. If your coats are clean, just drop them in a plastic bag and write 'clean' on the bag. Natasha Nola & Elizabeth Kringel have a big head start, both have been collecting in their neighborhoods!  So now you know their secret, go out and collect from your friends!

A NOD TO DEBBIE HENRY!

Forgot to mention this in last week's Ronald McDonald story...Debbie took the initiative to build 6 bears at the Build-A-Bear workshop which we gave to the kids at breakfast.  Both parents and kids alike were delighted at such an extravagant gift!  You could tell that they might be some of the nicest gifts these families would have during this trying time.  Hats off to Debby for coming up with this idea!
