Ann Marie Hughes was the guest speaker on June 11.  Ann Marie began her career in journalism as a television news report and morning anchor in Albuquerque.  She then attended law school and practiced as a trial litigation attorney in Denver.  After semi-retiring, she turned to editing and published "Letters to Ann: The Korean War 150-51"   The book is about Captain John F. Hughes, a medical officer, who wrote illustrated letters to his four-year-old daughter Ann about his time in Korea.  The book was a double-winner at the juried 2014 Colorado Independent Publishers Association EVVY Awards.  It received third place for editing and first place for military history.

Meetings are on 1st and 3rd Wednesday mornings at 7:15 A.M. at The Children’s Hospital (470 and Lucent) at 1811 Plaza Dr., Highlands Ranch, CO.in the Tennessee Room. About $7 for Continental Breakfast. The Children's Hospital puts on a wonderful spread for us with pastries, scones, a huge fruit platter and 2 kinds of juices!!! We can change the menu if we like and will probably do from time to time. You should come visit us and have a warm scone.
Good for a make up or for our friends and acquaintances that would appreciate a Rotary Club with a morning meeting time.  If you plan to attend, please let Ann Mather at 303-570-9838 (Annmather@aol.com) or Linda Blackstone at 303-992-5625  know the day before.
