Marion Trummer reached out Friday evening and asked me to send an email to the whole club.
The Celebration of Life for Christine Hoyt will be on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 2:00 in the afternoon. It will be held at St. Andrews Methodist Church. The address is 9203 South University Blvd.
Though many of us did not have the opportunity to know her, we heard several beautiful stories about Christine's support of many members and their children at last week's noon meeting. Christine must have been a talented seamstress, as over the years, she zipped members' daughters into their wedding dresses and mended pockets so that every detail of the garments on those life-changing days appeared perfect. I believe it was also said that she was a past President, active leader, and member of the club. Though she had been ill, many feel she died too soon. She will be missed but remembered by those who knew and loved her. Condolences to all who will miss her, from those not lucky enough to have been a Rotarian in the club when she was here.
Have a happy Sunday, and stay warm. Call someone if you need to say hi. And remember, that snow is heavy and it is still icy out there.
