Thanks to everyone that helped with the very successful recycling event. It took a large cast to pull this off and we couldn’t thank everyone more for the help along the way. What a club we have, and one to be so proud of - we kept a tremendous amount of hazardous material out of our landfills with just this one event! Success in Numbers:
- 100,000 to 130,000 pounds of electronics recycled (10 large trucks were full)
- 40,000 to 50,000 pounds of paint recycled
- Over 900 cars dropping off materials
- 134 volunteers, 458 volunteer hours not including the Sunrise folks
- The Thunder Ridge Interact Club and members from four baseball teams were there
- Great feedback received from the recyclers, DC Sheriff’s Deputies, UC Health HR Hospital and the participants
And we received $14,021.50 in donations of which 100% will go to the great community organizations and charities we support!!!
