A SMALL BUT MIGHTY TEAM!
Six Rotarians and 3 kids were on hand to wrap gifts for the Denver Indian Center's annual Christmas party and gift distribution. Jan Selinfreund, Reen Gottern, Sue & Jim Bramley, their daughter & granddaughters were the wrapping team - that would be at the very least 50 presents apiece. Our own Mickey Cameron & Andy Becher played Santa & Mrs. Claus to over 250 kids and families that came in to get what might well be their only Christmas gift.
Mickie has a special story about one young girl who comes every year. She told her she remembers Mickie holding her at this event when she was a baby. She is now 10! Rotary has been involved since we initiated the District Committee in 2008.
Rotary in action! In addition to club familiar faces, Meghan, Avery & Julia Symes (Bramley family) and Jack Cameron III (Mickie's son) worked their fingers to the bone | Andy & Mickie fit comfortably into their roles as Santa & Mrs. Claus - could it be, are they really Santa & Mrs. Claus??? |
The wrapping team get a visit from Santa | OK, I'm taking editorial liscence here, Mrs. Claus gave 2 of the cutest girls at the event props for their hard work. And they would be...our granddaughters, Julia and Avery Symes! |
