LAST WEEK:Rhonda Lord, South Metro Chamber and ACC (Arapahoe Community College)
Sue introduced her friend Rhonda who serves on the Chamber's Executive Board and is a Liaison for Women in Business. Being passionate about education she's spent 12 years on the ACC Foundation Board. The South Metro Denver Chamber is a non-partisan, pro-business organization advocating for laws and regulations to create a strong business climate for its members. Since 1921, the Chamber has been one of the most influential forces in local and regional economic development. With over 700 members incorporating more than 250,000 employees, they offer unique benefits and opportunities for local businesses of all sizes to prosper. Jan introduced two students who attended RYLA, Tjayden Litwiler and her brother Chandler. Tjayden was a Student of the Month from Stem; Jan approached her when RYLA included graduating seniors after covid. Upon learning of the leadership opportunity Tjayden asked if her brother could attend. Chandler is a senior at Heritage H.S. Brother and sister attended RYLA and shared their experiences with the Club. Their stories and experiences were fun to hear; bottom line was "stick to your strengths". The students were accompanied by their parents.
We welcomed Zandi Wilcox whom Debbie Leonard met at a Chamber event, Shannon's daughter Tamson, and Lynn Wood a visiting Rotarian from New Orleans.
