MEETING HIGHLIGHTS JAN 11th:
We again welcomed Kristy Hayzlett and Amanda Biffle. Amanda is from the Denver Mile High Rotary and has submitted her application for Sunrise.
JAN 11th: Natalie Conklin, Mini OLLI Class and Nancy Barton GTKY Talk
Sue introduced Natalie who helped us discover why we say the things we say. The English language is the most common language used to communicate. We can thank Shakespeare, the most influential writer in the English language for inventing the following: vanished into thin air, stood on ceremony, played fast and loose, and dead as a door nail. Natalie also recommended the book, "The Mother Tongue" by Bill Bryson. For more information on OLLI classes, olli.du.edu.
Nancy is a poet and doesn't know it! Her talk was phenomenal, most of it rhymed as she shared her life story.
Announcements
Shrin will be traveling for the next two months (India, Cambodia, Dubai, Thailand, Vietnam); Debby Doig will be assuming the Foundation Treasurer role in his absence.
