LAST WEEK: In lieu of meeting notes I'm sharing photos I received from our fellow Rotarians who enjoyed the cruise, photos from serving supper to the kids at Eagle Academy, sharing a link from "Hope to Walk" in Belize to a powerfully moving video, an update on Interact from Grace Roscoe, and sharing the acknowledgement of Warrior Bonfire by the Department of Veteran Affairs.
The Cruise
The Cone's extended their journey to Portland, ME visiting the Yarmouth Rotary Club and trading banners with Carolyn Johnson at the LL Bean headquarters. Another example of Rotary hospitality and friendship.
Community Service members providing dinner to 50 students at Eagle Academy. A truly rewarding experience.

MVHS Interact Update - Grace Roscoe
Hello Rotary Friends,
I hope you all are doing well! As the school year is starting and excitement is high, Interact Club has started the year off with many fun service activities!
So far, we have acquired over 50 new members for our club! This will lead to great success in our events this year. We also have a new club sponsor, Ms. Kelly Click, who has done a wonderful job getting Interact Club up and running. We are very excited for the school year to start as we have lots of service activities planned!
We started our year off with our annual Root Beer Float Social here at school, giving out soda floats after school to help raise awareness about Interact Club. Interact Club also helped distribute peaches into cars with Rotary in August. Lastly, we kicked off our monthly Peaceful Schools visits this past Thursday. Peaceful Schools is a program where we go into classrooms, grades 1-3, at a local elementary school to read books and facilitate activities and discussions enhancing social relationships. Interact Club has had so much fun participating in these activities and can't wait for what the rest of the semester brings! Thus far we have had great success for Interact Club events, and we look forward to many more this school year. we wouldn't be able to do everything we do without Rotary’s support. The MVHS Interact Club enjoys being able to interact with our community and provide a few smiles to others' faces. We appreciate and thank you for your continuous support.
MVHS Officer, Grace Roscoe
Warrior Bonfire Program
"In recent years the Department of Veteran Affairs has used social media and email blasts to share the many resources across the country provided by various organizations. Due to the support and work of our donors, sponsors, and volunteers in helping us grow, we are proud to share that the work all of us do here at Warrior Bonfire Program is working and getting us noticed! That is in huge part to the 37,000+ logged volunteer hours since we began! We thank all that you do to support Veterans across the country."
Congratulations!!
