These Rotarians (and a few others) built this wall to surround the Peace Pole at Sedalia Elementary. Thanks Gentlemen!

Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Bringing test question #3 to life at Probst!  (Couldn't secure full rights to Bob Larson's image.)

From Win Pendleton:

For our Moment of Rotary, Win discussed the differences between the RI Foundation and the Highlands Ranch Rotary Foundation (HRRF) and announced that our $4,100 HRRF request for this year was approved.

Judy Pendleton awarded the club's Apple Award to our Treasurer, Bill Butler, for his faithful stewardship of our dues, expenses and his project support over the years. (pictured below)

Our next blood drive is Oct 17th. We still need volunteers to help on that Saturday. If you are able, contact Anita or Bobbi to get on the roster.

We had two special guests, previous Highlands Ranch Rotary Club President, Arthur Cone and current president Terre Cone. Departing from our usual member interview, we (Win) decided to hold a Q&A interview of Terre. She was very open about her life experiences, early-on dedication to serving others and her commitment to carry on that service through Rotary.

Those of you who make Warrior Bonfire calls will be getting your call list very soon.  Win, Judy, and Gail are currently callers, we welcome more participants. It requires several hours per quarter and is very rewarding to be able to talk to veterans who have received a Purple Heart for their combat injuries.

*We held our monthly after-meeting dinner gathering. We are considering a change in this practice. We will let you know what's next and hope some of you will visit our meetings. Second/Fourth Thursday of each month, 4:15-5:15 pm, Quincy Point Cards Room in Summit Square.

Our next meeting is Oct 8th.

         Benefits of Early Rising

“The early bird gets the worm.”

This saying teaches us that people who start early and work hard often have the best chance of success.

Waking up early gives us time to prepare for the day. We can eat breakfast, get ready, and begin our work without rushing. People who arrive early at work can plan their tasks calmly. Having an early Rotary meeting allows the good vibes to filter through the entire day.

Being an early bird is not only about waking up at dawn. It also means acting promptly when there is an opportunity. A person who is prepared and willing to begin can often achieve more.

Waking up early is useful only when we also take care of our health. With a good routine, effort, and preparation, we can make the most of each day.

In conclusion, the early bird reminds us to be punctual, prepared, and hardworking. Starting early can help us use our time wisely and move closer to our goals.
