Inspiration: Mindy Hendrick
50/50 winner: Chuck Giebel will sell tickets this week
LAST WEEK: Ray Anderson, our District Governor
Ray has been a member of Rotary since 1997; he acknowledged the initial members joining him, Mary Kay, Jerry Wilford, and Chuck Tudor. Ray shared a video clip from "The Day the Earth Stood Still" emphasizing our goal of moving us closer to a world of peace and understanding. Our Club, receiving the bust of Paul Harris from Bob Kemp highlights the true spirit of membership. With that, he spotlighted Elaine's membership growth and retention and the new annual Mary Kay Hasz membership award. He also noted Kelsey as Interact District Chair, Tamie as District Spokesperson, and Lee Mulberry with District Rotaract Programs.
Ray's goals include getting clubs participating together, being a change maker, promoting youth exchange, and enhancing our public image, "getting the word out about Rotary". Go forward to "serve to change lives".
We welcomed Gail Lehrmann, our Assistant Governor and Endowment Chair for the Foundation. Alan Balfour joined us from Rancho Santa Fe, California as did Aaron Seiler, a potential new local member. Elena also joined us from the Sunrise morning group.

It was a banner day for peach/pear sales. Jan never imagined when she started 21 years ago in her garage we would sell
boxes of fruit
from 597 individual buyers out of 35 CO cities! 330 boxes were sold on the 11th!! Jan recognizes her support team Tom and Bill Leeper as well as partners who have gone over and above this year, Heritage HS cheerleaders and Celtic Steps.
Having said that, Jan needs MORE help on the 21st to handle the increased number of sales and cars arriving to pick them up. Please contact her and let her know you're there to help.
If you haven't done so, please submit your Bright Futures sponsorship checks payable to Highlands Ranch Rotary Foundation, Inc., PO Box 632118, Highlands Ranch, CO 80163.
Also remember to RSVP to Tamie before Aug 31st with your name and number and names attending in your party. Please reference your sponsorship level and remember there may be individuals needing a ticket(s) you may not be using for the event.
