LAST WEEK: VETERAN'S DAY and Wes Schuneman, Ride to End Polio
After a Color Guard we honored our Veterans in attendance.
On Nov 20th, Wes Schuneman and 3 members from the Castle Rock Rotary will be bicycling with Rotarians from all over the world in the RIDE TO END POLIO in Tucson. It will be the largest single day fundraiser for polio eradication; this year's goal is to raise $3.4 million. All donations will be matched 3:1 by the Gates Foundation. We welcomed Gail Lehrmann, Susan Garwood, and Shawn McMillen from the Parker Club, Dick Scofield, Jeannie Taylor, and visitor, Bill Ferrira, PDG from Long Grove, IL.
It was fantastic to see Reen's smiling, healthy face again. We missed her!
We also welcomed our two newest members Phil Clarke and Eric Kinsey. Congratulations!
And, we had Aaron Seiler's new member induction with his mentor, Chip. He received his blue badge, Rotary cap and t-shirt. Congratulations!
Our visitor, Bill described what their Club have done to raise money for polio; developed a cookbook with recipes from every zone in Rotary.
Jeannie Taylor bought this week's auctioned wine, a Cab from Washington. Thank you!
Announcements
Phil and Patricia described the International Service Committee's global literacy and education initiative providing teacher training in impoverished areas. They have partnered with Teach United and are planning a proof of concept to Costa Rica in March. A full presentation will be in January and all are welcome to become involved.
Kohls Santa Clothes will be Dec 8th; we have donated $3000 allowing 30 kids a $100 gift certificate to purchase needed items. A sign up sheet was started; wear your Santa hat and mask.
Christmas Singers Needed! Bob Larson is requesting help with the Holiday Party; he knows we have several male singers but where are those lady "closet/shower singers"? Time is of the essence and all singers need to contact Bob NOW to allow a few rehearsals prior to the party. Ideally,

Jerry and Goldie are excited after learning her blood count is leveling off and she is doing well.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark Brown as he goes into surgery tomorrow.

Floyd is home and returning to normal life with support of his family. He would appreciate a card.
