LAST WEEK: Chris Nissler, PT, staying fit and recovering from injury and Todd McPherson, IFCS Adopt a Child
Sue introduced Chris whose parents were both Rotarians; his mother Pam was a member of our Club. Chris' strengths are in musculoskeletal reconditioning & rehabilitation. "Perception and mindset are the two biggest predictors of health and overall success." Chris graciously left us with 2 Branch Rickey baseballs, Tony Gwynn and Al Leiter. (Bob will have fun auctioning those.)
Sue also introduced Todd from IFCS who described their Helping Hands for the Holidays program and, how to donate a child's gift or holiday meal box via their website, www.ifcs.org.
We welcomed Jeanne Taylor, our newest member!
Jeanne is continuing to support our Foundation and bought this week's auctioned wine.
As we move forward Bob is asking for "Rare and Unusual Auction Item Donations". This could be a piece of art, a signed athletic piece, anything rare and unusual. Please contact Bob about what you are interested in having him auction prior to the meeting.
Announcements
Alan announced he has 36 Rotary cookbooks, $20, from Bill Ferrira as described in our Nov 18th meeting providing recipes from every Rotary zone.
The HRCA "Hometown Holiday" on Dec 3rd, 4:30-7:30pm in Town Center, Highlands Ranch was a tremendous success.
The Holiday Party was also a wonderful evening. A special thanks to Bob for the evening's music and Chuck for the pictures, too many to count! A display of those photos will be in next week's Wheel Spinner.
