Cherity Koepke, Opera Colorado
Sue introduced Cherity, the Director of the Opera Colorado Artist in Residence Program (for emerging artists) and the Director of Education & Community Engagement (honing in on performance skill vs singing and serving over 45,000 students each season). In 2001 they opened their performance home in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House with a seasonal run from fall through spring.

Elaine officially welcomed Tori Nied as our newest member. Arthur sponsored her and will mentor Tori. WELCOME!

Registration open for the May 6-8th District Conference

May 8th and the recycling event seems a long way off but the planning needs to happen now. Marty Genereux needs approximately 60 volunteers for 2 shifts for the 9am - 2pm event.
In an effort to minimize traffic, the event will no longer accept scrap metal; see the updated flyer on FB or our website.

May 2 - Hide In Plain Sight "Derby For Diplomas" Gala, 2-5pm. Contact Joe Roos, joeroos54@gmail.com, to register for virtual participation. In-person registration closed.
May 6 - 12 noon, Hybrid, in-person Rotary meeting at Lone Tree Hotel & Golf.
Reservations required to attend in- person. Minimum required to attend 25, will RSVP to Shrin a week in advance, and cost for lunch $20 to be billed quarterly. Instructions closer to the date. It will be Tamie's first day to be an in-person President!

The virtual May 6 session will focus on Member Engagement and Rotary Service; May 7 will include an in-person reception, dinner and program for 150 people at the Arvada Center, and live-streamed for those that attend virtually. Please join theHighlands Ranch Rotary Sunrise Clubfor our regular meetings. We are currently meeting virtually and hope to return to Children’s Hospital in Highlands Ranch soon. We are still a very active club, have regular speakers, participate in “safe” service volunteer opportunities, and strive to make a difference in the community. And we have fun at the same time!
Zoom call meetings are the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 7:15 – 8:30 am. Please contact either Gary Smith (303-522-3355) or Elena Cumberbatch-Lynch (303-875-3418) for the Zoom meeting link.
