LAST WEEK:Dr. Julie Prutsman, Advances in Audiology
Sue introduced Dr. Julie who shared valuable information and a profound statement, "Hearing loss is a question of when, not if.". Early and appropriate intervention with amplification is essential. She described clinical research with new hearing technology from emerging companies regarding stem cells, cellular regeneration, and new findings with tinnitus. www.soundrelief.com.
We welcomed Tom Fanning, Bill Simmermon's friend, Jane's friends Karen and Scott Smith, and Patrick Prutsman. On Zoom we welcomed Arthur from his hospital room, Debby Doig, Paul Campbell from Sunrise, Mark Eberly, and James Simmermon. And so wonderful to see Elaine in person.
Congratulations Carl Husmann upon receiving his Blue Badge. He was supported by his sponsor Eric and his mentor Ron.
Bill Leeper introduced our latest and definitely impressive Student of the Month Luke Laudeman from STEM; his mom, and Counselor joined him. Of note, his grandfather was a member of the Denver Rotary Club.
Thank you, Marion, for officiating the meeting.
Announcements
We couldn't participate in Zoom meetings the first and third Thursdays if not for our audiovisual team, thank you! However, the team is shrinking and needs our help. Without additional support we may not be able to continue the Zoom meetings. Please contact Phil Calderbank if you are interested.
Contact Paul Campbell, 720-939-4585, to volunteer for the Sunrise Recycle Event on May 6th. Available shifts include 8-11am, 10am - noon, and 11am to 2pm.

RYLA conference Jun 25-30 and Young RYLA (current 7th graders) have two conferences, Jun 18-23 and Jul 15-21. rockymountainryla.org for applications and more information. Applications close Mar 30th.
Both Safeway and King Soopers offer an opportunity to use your shopping to give back to our Club. Safeway has changed their reloadable Community Giving Cards; Bob Larson will bring new cards to the meeting. You may load the card with up to $500 which you will use to pay for your groceries. For King Soopers, go to kingsoopers.com, sign into your digital account, go to My Account, select Community Rewards, and search for Rotary Club of Highlands Ranch.
As we move forward a change has been made to our President Elect and President Elect Nominee; Bob Martin is the PE (will be President Jul 1st) and Arthur Cone the PEN.

Phil Clarke presented the PMH Endowment program at the PETS House of Friendship.
Neil DiLorenzo shared the flag from the Rotary Club of Playa Del Carmen Seaside Mexico.
Members from the International Service Committee are in Belize helping fit 16 patients with a prosthesis. We are looking forward to their return and stories/pictures from their trip.
Again, thank you Maria for your contribution of a bottle of wine. Since we have been flooded with wine, Bob Larson held off on auctioning this week and asked for new items for bidding. For example, an item with a new twist, has a story, a piece of art, a couples' dinner, a singles date, and/or a time share with plenty of advance notice. To date we have raised $12,527 for our Foundation. Kudos to us and Bob! Remember the item you purchased is tax deductible for the sold price.
