Last Week:Tami Sliwa - Working with At-Risk and Homeless Youth
Claudia introduced Tami who shared the history of and described Movement 5280. It began supporting young people who aged-out of foster care with no support. Their mission is to reach at-risk and homeless youth and young adults by building relationships and providing resources with 3 focuses; survive, thrive, and revive. For more information, movement5280.org.
Tamie introduced our Student of the Month, Liana Hase-Penn from Valor High School. Liana's parents and Valor's TSA Advisor joined her.
Robin (Sally Robin Howard) Aguilar gave her "Getting to Know You" talk. (No longer called "Classification" talks.) It was interesting to learn how Robin and Steve met and traveled across the country to end up in Colorado. Terre inducted Robin with her Blue Badge which Steve pinned on her.
