LAST WEEK
Blue Badge presentation to Ron Lester, a bit late but we are so happy to have you!
Tracey Carisch, Volunteering Across the World with Rotary International
I cannot put into words my feelings and comments about Tracey's presentation and experiences with her family exploring 24 countries and 6 continents. You will have to listen to the recording (link in Phil's email for the next meeting) or read for yourself in her book, "Excess Baggage - One Families Around the World Search for Balance". Or, for additional information regarding their journey, https://www.traceycarisch.com/photos
or traceycarisch@gmail.com.
Connie Golas has graciously agreed to take your orders for her book(s); please call or email her (303-875-5666 or savvytravelerrn@gmail.com) before Mar 5th. The book is $15; either send Connie a check or she will collect upon delivery.
We welcomed the following guests: Ron Bergloff, Kelly Bridges, and Rebecca Wheeler. It was especially wonderful to have Herb on the call.
Announcements
Thank you to the 11 volunteers to be judges for the WAC Mar 6th; please see Phil's email for training Feb 24th.
Connie Golas shared 6 of the books (some in Spanish) from the Dickerson LiteracyProgram to be given to the Children's Hospital in Highlands Ranch with the rest going to Children's at Anschutz.
Work on the pergola at Sedalia Elementary was postponed until March due to the weather.
May 8th and the recycling event seems a long way off but the planning needs to happen now. Marty Genereux needs approximately 60 volunteers for 2 shifts for the 9am - 2pm event. Do you know a school that needs a community service day or wants to donate their football team or cheerleaders? Other needs: direct traffic (1/3 of a mile), accept donations, or, just be a cheery face to those waiting in their cars. Pizza/food will be provided. Please call or email Marty to volunteer, 303-798-9036 or MGenereux317@gmail.com with your name, phone, and email.

Please join theHighlands Ranch Rotary Sunrise Clubfor our regular meetings. We are currently meeting virtually and hope to return to Children’s Hospital in Highlands Ranch soon. We are still a very active club, have regular speakers, participate in “safe” service volunteer opportunities, and strive to make a difference in the community. And we have fun at the same time!
Zoom call meetings are the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 7:15 – 8:30 am. Please contact either Gary Smith (303-522-3355) or Elena Cumberbatch-Lynch (303-875-3418) for the Zoom meeting link. This is a great opportunity for a make-up meeting or for potential members that cannot easily attend noon meetings. We look forward to seeing you and welcome any guests that would like to join us!
