My apologies for no photos this week, ClubRunner changed their format, and I am unable to decipher.
LAST WEEK:Budget/Dues, Chip Kennedy and Scott Smith GTKY Talk
Chip gave an excellent explanation of how inflation has caught up with us and why we are losing money therefore our dues will increase. I cannot do justice to his talk and many thanks to Phil Calderbank for providing a video of the presentation. Please see Phil's email from Oct 6th.
Again, kudos to Phil for providing a video of Scott's GTKY talk; it was more than interesting and entertaining. Please see Phil's email from Oct 6th.
We had no guests or visiting Rotarians but did welcome back Nancy from her extended vacation.
Tamie dedicated her inspiration to Shrin, Debby, and the Pediatric Mental Health Committee. She followed by singing "High Hopes", "always remember that ant". After the "Together We End Polio Program" initiated in 1995 the Rotary Endowed Fellowship for Pediatric Mental Health is the next major accomplishment. See RI President, Gordon R. McInally, "President's Message" in the Oct Rotary Magazine.
Past President Tom Keyton awarded Phil Calderbank for his service and dedication as Club Secretary from 2020-23 emphasizing his hard work in revising the by-laws and work in ClubRunner.
Jan Keyton passed the "You Rock" award to Bill Leeper for his support and dedication to the peach sales and invaluable help to the Keyton's with this project.
As done two weeks ago Debby Doig asked for nominations from the floor to replace Betsy's role in the Foundation. No nominations were received from the floor; voting will take place Oct 12th for Bob Larson, Bill Leeper, or Jane Kucharski to fill the vacancy until June.
Bob auctioned a fine bottle of Scottish whiskey Tom McHugh donated. After some fierce bidding Ray donated $140 to our Foundation and took the bottle home.
