LAST WEEK:Julie Deden, Colorado Center for the Blind
Ron introduced Julie, Executive Director of Colorado Center for the Blind, a world-renowned blindness-skills training center providing innovative teaching, progressive daily challenges, and self confidence that are the building blocks of independence, opportunity, and success. Students leave the training programs infused with the confidence and belief they can live the lives they want. In addition to the Braille alphabet cards Julie left on the tables she shared tips on using a cane and how she is able to communicate in an electronic world. It was fascinating to "see" into the world of the blind.

For the second time our Club received the Ray Jenkins traveling plaque initiated in the Denver Club honoring those clubs that have the highest per capita contribution to the Rotary Foundation, (ours, $517.94).
It is not too late to give to the RF this year; any amount helps reach our goals.
Congratulations Kari, she is co-recognized with a member from the Evergreen Club to receive the Gary Fletcher website award.
Tamie shared the District's Day of Service video, "What Can Rotary Do for Colorado?"; available on the District website.
Also available on the website are the recent District Conference speakers.

Please join theHighlands Ranch Rotary Sunrise Clubfor our regular meetings. We are currently meeting virtually and hope to return to Children’s Hospital in Highlands Ranch soon. We are still a very active club, have regular speakers, participate in “safe” service volunteer opportunities, and strive to make a difference in the community. And we have fun at the same time!
Zoom call meetings are the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 7:15 – 8:30 am. Please contact either Gary Smith (303-522-3355) or Elena Cumberbatch-Lynch (303-875-3418) for the Zoom meeting link. This is a great opportunity for a make-up meeting or for potential members that cannot easily attend noon meetings. We look forward to seeing you and welcome any guests that would like to join us!
