My sincere apologies for no pictures this week and I had many to share however this laptop is SO frustrating and will not allow me to save photos. I am exhausted from driving across country with two dogs (one of them being Archie) and I'm done.

Announcements
Please see Claudia's email, Aug 7th, from IFCS requesting volunteers. With so many on vacation this month they are finding themselves short of help.
Tamie updated us on the exciting progress of the Pediatric Mental Health Committee. They are nearing their $500,000 goal of transferring the monies the end of September. The team will give an in-depth presentation to the Club on Oct 19th. RI President, Gordon McInally, asks us all to become champions in our effort to illuminate mental health. The RI magazine will showcase Gordon's request and feature our Pediatric Mental Health endowment in that article. The mental health team is working on our own feature article of our commitment to their endowment.

Thank you, Jan, for sharing an additional RYLA take away:
Good day Mrs Keyton
Thank you so much to the Highlands Ranch Rotary Club for sponsoring me at Young RYLA. Young RYLA is a life-changing experience that many leaders of the future should experience. As someone who went to the conference, I would like to say that within a week it has helped me build my leadership skills. From making great friendships to problem solving and team-building. The outcomes of RYLA are endless. In my experience, we did a two day activity called The Matrix, which was one of my favorites. One of the activities within the Matrix was with three adjacent blocks, which we had to cross over using planks, here is the catch though, the planks were short, some heavy planks were even taken away if they hit the ground. The activity was an exercise to learn to ask for help and our team succeeded even though we didn't complete the challenge. We worked hard as a team and this in my mind is a victory. RYLA has taught me many things, but what I try to remember is that this is our generation and we need to take action now, so our future can be brighter.
Thank You,
Eesha Parsons
