Inspiration: Claudia Caves
50/50 winner: Elizabeth will sell tickets this week
LAST WEEK:
Welcome our New President Bill Simmermon and Classification Talk from Tori Nied
Claudia introduced Bill highlighting his 14 year history in our Club: Bill has been a leader bringing in new members, on the Board of Directors, HRRF including role as Treasurer, and, initiated International Committee which lead into our literacy and library projects in Costa Rica partnering with the Belen Club. Bill shared a video from Shekar Mehta, RI President 2021-2022, as a segue into his goals. First is "serve to change lives, serve more" with a membership goal of 7 new members. He quoted Shekar, "Service is the rent I pay for the space I occupy on this earth, and I want to be a good tenant of this earth." Secondly he invited us to understand why we are in Rotary and share with our family and friends. Lastly, "each one, bring one" challenging us to commit to one person sharing your "why".
Tori shared her "why" in her delightful Classification talk. If you did not attend, it is definitely worth listening to the recording. We are so lucky to have Tori's dedication and spunk as a 4th generation Rotarian.
