LAST WEEK:
Welcome our New President Bill Simmermon and Classification Talk from Tori Nied
Claudia introduced Bill highlighting his 14 year history in our Club: Bill has been a leader bringing in new members, on the Board of Directors, HRRF including role as Treasurer, and, initiated International Committee which lead into our literacy and library projects in Costa Rica partnering with the Belen Club. Bill shared a video from Shekar Mehta, RI President 2021-2022, as a segue into his goals. First is "serve to change lives, serve more" with a membership goal of 7 new members. He quoted Shekar, "Service is the rent I pay for the space I occupy on this earth, and I want to be a good tenant of this earth." Secondly he invited us to understand why we are in Rotary and share with our family and friends. Lastly, "each one, bring one" challenging us to commit to one person sharing your "why".

Tori shared her "why" in her delightful Classification talk. If you did not attend, it is definitely worth listening to the recording. We are so lucky to have Tori's dedication and spunk as a 4th generation Rotarian.

We welcomed guests Kelli Chan (Voices West) and Julia Kinsey (taking over Neil's CPA firm).

Jerry Selinfreund presented awards to the non-military members of the Military Support Committee, Jan Selinfreund, Nancy Arkins, and Tamie Fennell, for their continued support.

See Phil's email from Jun 20th for details and entry form to participate in Aurora Gateway Rotary Club's charity golf tournament Aug 4th. Must reply before Jul 25th.

A shout out to Kari and Phil who make our hybrid meetings possible. Thank you both!

Please join the Highlands Ranch Rotary Sunrise group for our regular meetings at Eastridge Recreation Center, 9568 S University Blvd. Aspen Room. We are a very active club, have regular speakers, participate in “safe” service volunteer opportunities, and strive to make a difference in the community.  And we have fun at the same time!
Meetings are the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 7:15 – 8:30 am.  Please contact either Gary Smith (303-522-3355) or Elena Cumberbatch-Lynch (303-875-3418) if you plan to attend. This is a great opportunity for a make-up meeting or for potential members that cannot easily attend noon meetings.  We look forward to seeing you and welcome any guests that would like to join us!
