LAST WEEK: Jeff Johnson, Why Volunteering at Sedalia Elementary is Valuable
Sue introduced Jeff, Principal of Sedalia for the past 5 years. Jeff shared their inspiring story of the changes a focus on reading made in the school, the students, and their community. Volunteers make a difference by modeling reading and responsibility; the kids can't wait for the volunteers to return. Reading 25 minutes/day achieves at the overall 80th percentile, 30 minutes increases to the 90th percentile. Reading makes a difference.
We welcomed Aaron Seiler, our newest member. We are pleased, Aaron, you are joining us.
