What a week! The Rotary Club of Highlands Ranch absolutely CRUSHED it's Epic Day of Service. Here are some highlights!
We are meeting this Thursday at lunch and Kim DeCoste will be the speaker addressing “The Five Generation Workplace & Generational Leadership”.
Updates are minimal, as we were dark last Thursday, but will update all committees and groups that are meeting in June.
We are also dark next Thursday, the week of Memorial Day.
Win and Jan are all smiles with panel being tested.
Teamwork!
New Rotarians and “seasoned” ones worked together.
Nancy feeling creative.
Elizabeth flexing her artistic skills after practicing on many bags!
Together we change the world!
Ever the handy guy!
Testing, testing, 1-2-3…
It is such fun to wonder where these will go…
The art and messages will speak to the recipients.
Hopefully, we will see these again “in the field”, carrying our love and peaceful wishes to the people who need it.
Doing good and looking lovely!
We love to see newer members jumping right in
And we are proud of our “experienced” Rotarians who make service part of their lives
We are planing seeds of hope and friendship
President Arthur offered the Inspiration Terre wrote. She was inspired by the Youth Leadership of Dionysus Hubert, our new member, Shara's daughter. On top of being an amazing young woman, a solid student (on her way to Tulane in the fall), a Rotaract Leader at Mountain Vista, and the Inspiration to her mom to join our club. This highlights the value of (in keeping with Spring) the planting of seeds in our young people.

Please keep Phil & Elaine Calderbank in your prayers. Elaine sent the following update regarding Phil's condition today (Tuesday) about an hour ago:
“Phil was transferred from the blood cancer floor at St. Luke's to the BMT ICU yesterday afternoon. He has a clot in his lung and another blood infection. He is very poorly and we are so grateful for thoughts and prayers.”
Paul DeCoste, Kim's husband, is improving at the acute rehab inpatient wing of Skyridge at the Evergreen Building, following his major spinal surgery on May 9th. It is a beautiful, state of the art rehab facility with 20 beds and 3 hours per day of PT and OT!
Paul is waiting (as we write this) to hear if he will be released this week. We hope it will be Thursday afternoon.
He is able to walk now with a walker and a big brace in front and back which he will be wearing for weeks, maybe months, to ensure his spine heals properly. We also appreciate the kind thoughts and we hope he will be home for our 26th anniversary next week. Our son is coming home to help out this weekend, which is a very fortunate coincidence.

A reminder to all that we have Memorial Day this weekend. We hope those who have lost loved ones in the Service of our country will find solace knowing they will not be forgotten and forever be appreciated. The United States of America is the home of the free because of the brave. We are eternally grateful and honor their service

This week, I am presenting on the topic of my next book, “Get Real, People: The Five Generation Workforce” which will be released later this year. This is my first time presenting some of the findings and topics. I hope to see those of you who are not traveling.
A reminder that we are dark on the Memorial Day week.
For future meetings, I will not be in attendance, I believe Terre Cone will be taking notes. Thank you, Terre. If anyone can snap a few pictures each week, please do and send them tokimdecoste09@gmail.com and please add “FOR THE WHEEL SPINNER” in the subject, so I do not miss them. A note about who is pictured would be helpful.
I am still able to recieve and share committe updates and satellite meeting notes for now.
I can be reached at 303-588-2733 by text or call. Thank you!
