He was instrumental in mobilizing self-contained portable dental units complete with dentists and hygienists providing cleanings, fillings, extractions, and fluoride treatments.

Way to go Jane, winner of 50/50.
Announcements
Two leadership opportunities will become available Jul 1st when Chip Hartney and Kari's 2-year Board of Director terms expire. Terre Cone and Chip Hartney were accepted as nominations from the floor and approved unanimously from the Club. Congratulations Terre and Chip.
Tom McHugh updated us on Rotary's Day of Service; it will be a special day garnering publicity from Channel 9. Multiple suggestions were offered during the discussion; helping prepare/package/deliver food with Project Angel Heart seemed to interest the Club.
From Grace Roscoe - Interact
Hello Rotary friends,
Interact Club had a very busy first semester at Mountain Ridge Middle School and we would like to share some of our events with you.
In September, we kicked off the school year with a Root beer Float Celebration Fundraiser for the entire school and raised just over $800 that was donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation on behalf of one of our staff members who is battling breast cancer.
In October and December, we prepared meals for Urban Peak which provides shelter for teenagers experiencing homelessness. The students were master chefs and prepared a meal here at school that was transported to Urban Peak (downtown).
Each month, we are so lucky to be able to spend time with our friends at Brookdale Memory Care Facility. Students play games, do puzzles, sing and chat with many of the residents who live there.
Before Thanksgiving, our students braved the cold and hosted a toiletries drive at King Soopers and donated all of the items to Integrated Family Community Services, so that families in need could come pick up the basic necessities for their members.
The week of Thanksgiving, we held a Turkey Drive in the front parking lot of our school and collected 81 turkeys that were donated to Denver Rescue Mission.
In December, we made tie blankets and gave them to the local Children's Hospital. Students gave up their Saturday to make 49 blankets!
We are looking forward to similar activities this semester and will include making sandwiches for Haven of Hope Day Shelter and volunteering at the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics.
Hope you all are doing well. Thank you for your support of our service events. We appreciate you.
