At our last luncheon meeting, we enjoyed hearing two new members give their Getting to Know You talks. Kristy Conrad (above) told us of her experiences as a Public Information Officer for the state of Wyoming and Yellowstone Park. She and her husband have now founded and own Centennial Painters as they have moved back to this area where Kristy was raised. She also shared with us her hospitalization and rehab experiences for a severe spinal injury. She quoted a saying mounted on the wall at Craig Hospital:

“You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.” Welcome Kristy!

We also heard from Roger Sass (below) who started his working life with IBM and then had a long run with the Avanade a global subsidiary of Accenture that provides IT consulting and services focused on the Microsoft platform. He has already joined in on our  Ukraine solar project and others as well. He is an enthusiastic cyclist having bicycled through Australia, France, the Rhine Valley, Switzerland and more. He just returned from Death Valley where he co-led twenty other cyclists on a successful tour in spite of above average temperatures.

He married Susan Holt in 1988 and they have two children who have achieved graduate degrees. He looks forward to more projects with his new club.

Welcome Roger!
