Once again our club has invested in the Children's Hospital Holiday Care project. (Pictured above, our artist with her mother.)
And the card itself! These cards will soon be available for purchase. Details to follow.
Our passionate speaker…

and pumpkin munchkins.
Di Collingwood, (above) who spoke at the noon meeting last Thursday representing Jovial Concepts, is originally from Upstate New York. Her mom’s people were dairy and dirtfarmers for as long as she can remember and because of that they always had a huge garden. But Di hated gardening!!! All those weeds and vegetables and the disgusting humidity and things that made her itch. Once she moved to Colorado, as a single mom trying to make her budget stretch, she began to garden for herself and became hooked. She has now been planting and pruning for over four decades and works with others at Jovial Concepts, spreading the joys of a nicely weeded row and the amazing taste of fresh produce. At Jovial Concepts, they are empowered by how impactful providing sustainable agriculture opportunities and food education can be for the community. If you are interested in learning more about their mission go to: jovialconcepts.org.

Colette Hepp (below) let us know that the collection and donation of eyeglasses and cases was met with gratitude as our clubs rounded up many pairs. Donated spectacles are usually collected, sorted and checked. Usable pairs may be cleaned and stored for distribution through community vision programs or eye-care missions, where staff try to match them to someone’s vision needs. Damaged or unusable pairs may be dismantled for material recycling. Thanks to all of you people of vision!
