LAST WEEK David Willman, District Foundation Chair
Jerry Wilford introduced his mentee, Willy, from the Aurora Gateway Club. Our Rotary Foundation Mission: helps Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty. TRF, the Rotary Foundation, awarded $134.6 million in funding to 1,359 global grants, 490 District Grants, and 339 Disaster Response Grants during fiscal year 2019-20. 30% of all Rotarians give to TRF. All Rotary Grants (district designated and global) depend on Annual Fund contributions made to TRF. Contributions made 3 years ago provide the district matching funds for Rotary grants ($485K in 2018-19) including District Designated Fund Grants (DDF) which support local humanitarian service projects and international humanitarian projects and Global Grants (GG) supporting international humanitarian projects (7 Rotary areas of focus), vocational training teams, and Rotary Scholar Programs. When you donate to TRF, your gift makes a difference in communities that need our help most and creates lasting, meaningful change. To learn more, rotary.org/foundation. To see what you have contributed, my.rotary.org.

Elaine introduced Kelsey Lyons, our newest member, welcome! And, announced Mindy will rejoin the noon group; it will be good to see her face again.

ROTARY CLUB OF HIGHLANDS RANCH SUNRISE

Don't forget to 'like' our Facebook page! And check it out while you're there "http://www.facebook.com/HRRotarySatellite/"

Please join the Highlands Ranch Rotary Sunrise Club for our regular meetings. We are currently meeting virtually and hope to return to Children’s Hospital in Highlands Ranch soon.  We are still a very active club, have regular speakers, participate in “safe” service volunteer opportunities, and strive to make a difference in the community.  And we have fun at the same time!
Zoom call meetings are the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 7:15 – 8:30 am.  Please contact either Gary Smith (303-522-3355) or Elena Cumberbatch-Lynch (303-875-3418) for the Zoom meeting link.  This is a great opportunity for a make-up meeting or for potential members that cannot easily attend noon meetings.  We look forward to seeing you and welcome any guests that would like to join us!
