Roxborough State Park
Mary will give us a power point tour of Roxborough Park.
A little background: I'm a former science teacher (life sciences and earth sciences, from elementary to college levels), with degrees from the University of Minnesota and the University of Denver. I've been a volunteer naturalist with Roxborough since 2011, and assist in the instructional program for new volunteers. In addition to leading school groups, my interactions with visitors have been informal patio conversations about what we can learn from the rocks, ("Rox Talk") but the conversations are never limited to justgeology.. My patio interactions with visitors have ranged from two minutes to two hours, toddlers to geophysicists.
