Joanne provided a fascinating commentary, "Her Story", the women in Vietnam. We were all aware of the nurses and news correspondents but through Joanne we were acquainted with the "Donut Dollies", Red Cross workers. Not all women wore love beads in the 60's; many wore dog tags

Jan Keyton informed us applications for Rocky Mountain RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) 5450 and 5440 are available online, www.rmryla.org. RYLA is a life-changing leadership program where leadership skills & principles are learned, developed, and enhanced in an atmosphere of trust and respect. Eligible are incoming juniors or seniors and incoming 8th graders for Young RYLA
Both John and Ray (wearing his 5450 red superhero cape) provided a summary of the Future of Rotary dinner. Retention remains the biggest issue in our District; John gave options to tackle retention and new membership. Ray will let us know if John Hewco's informative talk is available as a podcast
Mary Kay Hasz described "eClub" that was initiated in our District and meets on the internet. Covers 17 time zones and they meet annually at the International Conference
Week 2 - Jerry Selinfreund presented the President-elect nominee, Tom Keyton, and those for the Board: Elizabeth Scofield, Nancy Arkins, Bill Leeper, Ari Block, and David Blackwood. No nominations from the floor; nominations remain open one more week
Watch Amazon Prime's newest show, "Warrior Bonfire, Episode 1, Colorado Cold" where we, HR Rotary, are featured in both the episode and the credits
If no challenging candidate is received by Feb 24, Rotarian ‘Buchi' Anikpezie will officially become our District Governor 2022-2023 of District 5450 and his selection will be submitted to Rotary International

Please join the Highlands Ranch Rotary Sunrise Club for our regular meetings. The meetings are the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7:15 to 8:30 am at the south campus of Children's Hospital at 1811 Plaza Dr. Highlands Ranch. We offer a delicious continental breakfast ($10.00 for members and guests). We also have wonderful speakers you will enjoy. This is a great opportunity for a make up meeting or for potential members that cannot attend noon meetings.
