Last Week - Matt Isola, Generation Exchange
The mission of Generation Exchange is empowerment. Older adults often desire greater confidence and comfort with technology. Younger adults value the resource of life experience and confidence from older adults. Generation Exchange brings these generations together at free workshops on college campuses. For two hours, adults over 40 (Mentees) are paired one-on-one with young volunteers (Mentors) to get answers to questions about any device, app, or technology skill : there is no curriculum. The volunteer Mentors in turn benefit from their Mentee’s wisdom, insights, and connections in careers, relationships, life skills and perspective. To sign up for a workshop, generationexchange.orgor call 720-443-2223. For inquiries by email, isola@generationexchange.org. There are Generation Exchange chapters at 3 locations: Boulder (CU), Fort Collins (CSU), and University of Denver (DU). The Spring 2020 Denver workshop dates are: FEB 29th, APR 4th,MAY 2nd, & MAY 16th. Denver workshops are held Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gregg Kvistad Special Events room (AAC 290) at DU

Take-away from the Future of Rotary dinner: 20% of all international membership comes from the US however we, the US, continue to remain stagnant regarding membership losing as many Rotarians annually as are joining. John Hewco gave us a call to action, "listen to the marketplace, step out of the box and out of our comfort zone. Our values are the glue holding us together, they are unchangeable". As a Club we need to appeal to the demographic we want to recruit; we need to do that with continuity and strategic momentum
