Bright Futures Gala kickoff

Enthusiasm was ignited for the Gala and the goal of $75,000 not only seems attainable but surpassable! To ensure sponsorship commitment, drawings will be held for a bottle of wine; congratulations to Shrin who won the first bottle!

Steve Miller opened nominations for a Trustee to fill a three year commitment beginning July 1 for the Highlands Ranch Rotary Foundation. Three candidates nominated from the floor include Shrin Murthy, Mike Foss, and Connie Golas; accepting nominations for the next three weeks.

Applications for Rocky Mountain RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) 5450 and 5440 are available online, www.rmryla.org. RYLA is a life-changing leadership program where leadership skills and principles are learned, developed, and enhanced in an atmosphere of trust and respect. Eligible are incoming juniors or seniors for RYLA or incoming 8th graders for Young RYLA. In 2019 we supported 7 students for Young RYLA and 8 for RYLA; keep family and friends in mind for this awesome opportunity. RYLA Plus is a free leadership and teamwork development program August 2-7, 2020, for high schoolers with physical disabilities held at Easterseals' Colorado camp (Rocky Mountain Village, Empire, CO). Shrin provided an excellent opportunity to support Children's Hospital and have fun, TRIVIA NIGHT! April 4, 6:30-9:30pm, Hilton Garden Inn, 1050 Plaza Ave, 80126. Kids 14 and up welcome with parents, 6 people per team, $180 per team or $35 per individual, and includes light supper, beer/wine, and soft drinks.
