Rotary Minute - Mary Kay Hasz
Mary Kay provided additional information regarding Rotary International; Charity Navigator (an organization that rates charities) places Rotary International in their top 10 list confirming their money, RI, goes where it needs to go. Rotary International invests the contributions it receives for three years, using only the interest income to pay the administrative expenses of the Foundation. At the end of three years, every dollar donated is put into humanitarian service. Each District receives 50%; for our District that means $500,000 contributed from 3000 district members which we will receive next year for sustainable projects. Bottom line: donate to the Foundation monthly.
