LAST WEEK
BEN WEEDA FROM M-POWERED

Ben gave an informative and entertaining speech. M Powered objective is to provide financial security for all. They provide coaching,  education,  debt management, help with emergency expenses such as unexpected medical bills. They provide financial guidance and budget planning to families who may have gotten into difficulties. Ben's guest, Marian Pena Garcia said, “I can think more clearly and take better care of my girls.”

They're asking Rotarians to be aware of people who may be struggling and have them reach out to M Powered. Ben’s e mail is ben@mpoweredcolardo.org or check the web site www.mpoweredcolorado.org. Or you can contact RCHR Community Services Committee.

THIS WEEK

~ Gail Lehrman from District will talk to us about the Rotary Foundation.

OTHER NEWS THAT'S FIT TO PRINT

FALLEN OFFICERS FUND

The club has made a $500 donation to the Douglas County Fallen Officers Fund in honor of Deputy Sheriff Zackari Parrish.

NEW PLAN FOR THE JELLY DRIVE

The community service committee came up with a great, easy donation - JELLY!  It's so versitle - it can go to IFCS, Doug/Elbert Task Force, Hide in Plain Sight, many of our favorite charities. Rather than people bringing in every week, we've designated the first meeting of every month as "JELLY DAY" making this week's meeting the Jelly Meeting!  So get out to King Soopers, use your Rotary card and buy up a bunch of jam or jelly and make someone happy!

WARRIOR BONFIRE SKI TRIP IN THE WORKS

Warrior Bonfire Will be hosting 6 Vets on a ski trip.  New club member Mike Foss, president of the organization is asking for donations for the gift bags.  Ski accessories, sun screen, chap sticks, snacks etc. are welcome.  Please bring donations to this week's meeting. Connie or Mike will be delighted to take them off your hands!.

Mike also announced their new fundraiser, Colorado Gives a Damn, sponsored by the Colorado Business Roundtable.  Proceeds will be split between Warrior Bonfire, Valor Bridge & Assn of the U.S. Army, Denver Centennial Chapter.  The event will be held Tuesday, March 6 at the Falls Event Center.  Contact Lisa Gregg lgreg@cobrt.com for more info.
